Minneapolis, MN – Eldermark, a leader in senior living software solutions, is excited to announce the appointment of Kaiser Ahmad as Chief Data Officer. This move is part of Eldermark’s commitment to devoting additional development and implementation resources to the ElderSmarts Analytics platform as Eldermark looks to give senior living operators full visibility into every aspect of their organization.
Additionally, Eldermark is launching the ElderSmarts Data Analytics Advisory Committee—a team of Eldermark experts, senior living analytics thought leaders, and experienced ElderSmarts users who will help inform the platform’s development path and assist clients in maximizing the value of their data.
Kaiser Ahmad Appointed as Chief Data Officer
Kaiser Ahmad joined Eldermark in May 2021 as Chief Technology Officer and has been instrumental in advancing Eldermark’s technology initiatives, especially around the launch of Eldermark NEXT. In his new role as Chief Data Officer, Kaiser will further shape the vision and enhanced developments of ElderSmarts, as a platform-neutral solution, ensuring senior living operators have the most comprehensive data analytics tool to drive continuity of care, improve outcomes, and deliver financial success.
"A powerful, purpose-built analytics platform like ElderSmarts acts like a flashlight, illuminating areas of your business that were once in the dark—problems or opportunities you didn’t even know existed. It’s easy to put data into an EHR, but the real challenge is getting that data out and turning it into something usable and actionable," says Kaiser Ahmad, Chief Data Officer at Eldermark. "With further ElderSmarts development and the establishment of this new Advisory Committee, we'll provide operators with the insights they need to make informed decisions and take action, driving significant improvements in care, resource management, and financial performance."
ElderSmarts Data Analytics Advisory Committee
The newly formed ElderSmarts Data Analytics Advisory Committee unites Eldermark’s internal analytics experts with a select group of experienced clients who have successfully leveraged data to improve care and uncover new revenue opportunities. This group will guide the ongoing development of ElderSmarts, while providing support to other clients as they navigate common industry challenges and implement ElderSmarts at their organizations. The committee will guide the development of ElderSmarts, ensuring that the data it provides empowers operators to make informed decisions that address current needs while also preparing them for future challenges and opportunities.

Diane Umayam, Vice President, Health Services at Leisure Care and Eldermark Client Advisory Board Member shared: "When we were considering acquiring two new communities that weren’t using Eldermark, we needed information identifying opportunities that would positively impact resident care, while also measuring profitability potential. By exporting the community data into Eldermark and integrating it into ElderSmarts, we were able to analyze key metrics by resident care needs. The flexibility of ElderSmarts, even with non-Eldermark data systems, was an advantage that contributed significantly to the insight needed to make informed decisions."
